News’ Lizzie O’Leary, Dr. Sally Satel, psychiatrist and fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and Dr. William Glazer, the president of Glazer Medical Solutions and formerly on the faculty at Yale and Harvard Medical schools, at 12:30 p.m. ET Thursday for a discussion of the controversial fifth edition of the “bible” of mental illness, formally known as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The DSM-5 will include new disorders, and has changed how some conditions - like ADHD and autism - are diagnosed. According to the new definitions, some experts say almost 50 percent of Americans could be diagnosed as mentally ill in their lifetimes.
