Iron Ranger on Grand adds patio space, cocktails

Jun. 24—Iron Ranger on Grand Avenue has expanded again — this time adding more outdoor seating.

The patio, which was already super cute, has been expanded by 900 square feet to help accommodate neighbors who have discovered the space. And to offer more seating for live music, which the restaurant is hosting on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

And that's not all — owner Tom Forti now has a full liquor license instead of just wine and beer. There is now a house cocktail menu that features a lot of Minnesota-made spirits. There's a house Manhattan, an old-fashioned, a greyhound and some original concoctions like the Queen Jane, featuring Vikre aquavit, lime juice, cherry and cucumber.

The menu, which has also expanded in recent years, includes some of our favorite wings and one of the best sandwiches in St. Paul, the classic porketta.
