Apple is very close to launching its iPhones on the world’s largest mobile carrier. Unwired View points out that China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has given the go-ahead for both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c to launch on China Mobile. Now that the devices had TD-LTE licenses, Unwired View expects them to launch on China Mobile in November. Getting its devices on China Mobile is crucial to Apple’s plans to stop its market share from eroding further in China, which has been flooded over the past year by low-cost Android devices. With more than 700 million subscribers, China Mobile has the potential to help Apple claw back significant market share from Android vendors such as Samsung and Xiaomi.
