iPad mini mass production has officially started in Asia
Ready or not, here comes the iPad mini. Unnamed sources told the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that Apple’s (AAPL) Asian component suppliers have fired up the assembly lines and started cranking out the iPad mini for its rumored October launch. The Journal’s scoop on Asian iPad mini production follows hot on the heals of a report that surfaced on Tuesday claiming that the Brazilian Foxconn plant had also started manufacturing the 7.85-inch tablet. Apple is rumored to be sending out event invitations for the iPad mini’s official unveiling next week.
