iPad mini deemed ‘pointless’ by nearly half of American iPhone fans

Apple’s (AAPL) next-generation iPhone is the most highly-anticipated product launch of the year. The iPad mini, though? Meh, not so much. Cult of Mac reports that coupon-code website CouponCodes4u has done another one of its periodic surveys to get the pulse of American consumer sentiment and has unsurprisingly found that most Americans would rather buy a next-generation iPhone than an iPad mini by a ratio of about four to one. But what’s really interesting is the reasons people gave for choosing the iPhone, as 46% of users surveyed said that iPad mini was “pointless” while 39% said that they just happened to like the iPhone more. CouponCodes4u surveyed 1,873 people in its study, 76% of whom already own an Apple product.
