The internet has very mixed reactions to Matt Lauer's choker revelation
Fashion from the '90s has been making a comeback for quite some time, and the trend may have just reached its peak.
Popular online retailer ASOS recently began selling some fierce chokers in their menswear section, and Today host Matt Lauer has decided to go public with his support.

“I don’t know if you all knew this, but chokers for men are a thing too,” Lauer said during Wednesday morning's broadcast alongside guest cohost Katie Couric. “ASOS has a wide selection of male chokers — some in velvet, others in cotton. But they’re late to the game, because guys, I have been wearing a choker for years,” Lauer said before unbuttoning the collar of his shirt to reveal a black velvet choker.
Twitter, of course, had some mixed reviews.
911 I'm watching the Today Show and Matt Lauer just unbuttoned his top to reveal he's wearing a choker

Matt Lauer showing that men's chokers are now a thing on the Today Show. I just think he looks like he stepped out of 50 Shades pic.twitter.com/9y552Kh02J

Matt Lauer looked great in the choker. I don't see what the big fuss is about unless masculinity is inherently fragile

We have to agree with the latter, here. If you've got it, flaunt it.
