Inspire and connect at Empower Women’s Conference in Ishpeming
ISHPEMING, Mich. (WJMN) – Apiary Life Studio is hosting its first-ever Empower Women’s Conference in Ishpeming March 8-10.
The conference is for all women in the Upper Peninsula to connect, inspire, and empower one another throughout the three-day event. There will be presentations, a community art exhibit, salon talks, and much more. The conference draws upon a variety of speakers and practitioners throughout Marquette County.
“The Empower Women’s Conference is an inspirational gathering,” said Apiary Life Studio Founder Amy Turner. “It’s a time for information. It’s a time for connection, a time for discussion, and to bring women together from all walks of life in the U.P. I’ve had women ask, ‘Is this a professional conference?’ And it isn’t, though professionals can come, it’s for the everyday woman who wants more, who wants more authenticity, who wants more deep discussion in safe environments, who wants more connection, and who wants to talk about what’s real to them.”
Ticket holders can choose a variety of participation levels. There is also a Ticket Match Program being offered for those who otherwise may not be able to attend.
“We’re really excited about rolling out our ticket match program and we are on our way to becoming a nonprofit, but we’re not there yet and that doesn’t stop us,” said Turner. “We are looking to bloom where we’re planted and start before we’re ready and let seeds germinate. So how we’re doing that now to our ticket match program is for every ticket that you buy, whether it’s for yourself or if you want to sponsor someone else, which is there on the ticket page as well, we will automatically match that ticket and find someone, a student or a woman who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend and match your ticket so that you are empowering yourself as well as someone else in the community.”
