‘Insidious: Chapter 4’ Rounds Out Final Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Kirk Acevedo, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, Caitlin Gerard and Ava Kolker have joined the cast of Universal/Sony/Blumhouse’s Insidious: Chapter 4, which is filming and scheduled to open on October 20, 2017. Their characters are being kept under wraps.

The latest installment to the $370M microbudget franchise is being helmed by series newcomer Adam Robitel. The four join Lin Shaye as parapsychologist Elise Rainier as well as franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson, who respectively play Specs and Tucker. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions is financing Insidious: Chapter 4 and handling international distribution. Whannell wrote all four Insidious movies and directed Chapter 3.

Acevedo plays Ramse in Syfy’s 12 Monkeys and previously starred in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Other credits include Prime Suspect, The Walking Dead, Band of Brothers, Thin Red Line and Oz. Acevedo is represented by Abrams Artists and manager Stacy Abrams.

Davison is known among fanboys as Senator Kelly in X-Men and X2. He is repped by Chris Roe Management. Locke, repped by TalentOne and APA, played K-Mart in Resident Evil: Extinction and its sequel Afterlife. Gerard’s credits include The Social Network and The Awakening. She is repped by Gersh and Management 360.

Kolker recurs on Girl Meets World and next appears in Lifetime’s Sister Cities and the feature Message from the King. She is repped by Churchhugger Management, Coast to Coast Talent Group and attorney Ryan Nord.

Insidious regulars Jason Blum, Oren Peli and co-creator James Wan are producing. Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Charles Layton serve as EPs.
