On the evening of the Academy Awards, the party doesn’t stop at Hollywood Boulevard. Across town, the Elton John AIDS Foundation hosted its annual Oscar viewing party and after-party, which this year drew quite a crowd, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Sofia Richie, and Spike Lee among those who came to support the foundation. Guests gathered around the bar for cocktails, where Heidi Klum and Nicole Scherzinger mingled with friends and posed for selfies with fellow guests. Once inside, the seated dinner began promptly, as Jimmy Kimmel took the stage at the Dolby Theatre.
After dinner, and once the final award was announced for the evening (with Shape of Water taking home best picture), Sir Elton John, along with David Furnish, thanked guests for their support of the foundation, before kicking off a live auction, which raised $5.9 million. Soon enough, everyone headed back to the cocktail area, where they joined nominees and winners coming from the awards for a night of celebrating and dancing under a massive disco ball—a night that only Elton himself could bring to Hollywood.
