Inmate at Pendleton Juvenile facility charged with rape and sexual battery

Mar. 12—ANDERSON — An inmate at the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional facility has been arrested on charges of rape and sexual battery.

Kaari Henley, 19, originally from St. Louis, was charged Monday for an incident at the correctional facility last October.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by Correctional Police Officer Christopher Sanford, Henley assaulted a 17-year-old offender in a cell the two were sharing.

The court document indicates Henly choked the other man and continued to make threats until a sex act was performed.

The man said he was "passed out" because of medications being taken and didn't recall the incident.

Henley was cited for a major violation and found guilty of abusive sexual contact against another youth.
