New initiative helping to inspire Chicago youth to explore career opportunities

CHICAGO — A new initiative is helping today’s kids prosper in whatever career they choose tomorrow.

The program is called Gamechangers and is part of PepsiCo’s $5 million Pathways to Readiness and Empowerment Program, or PREP for short. Launched in 2021, PREP aims to advance career opportunities for at least 3,000 South and West Side youth.

The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation and PepsiCo teamed up to help launch GameChangers initiative. For the Blackhawks it is a perfect fit for the organization which recently signed a deal to feature PepsiCo products at the United Center. WGN’s Patrick Elwood has more about the impact of the program.
