Sofía followed in the footsteps of her older sister, 11, receiving the religious sacrament alongside her Santa Maria de los Rosales classmates. Leonor broke royal tradition in 2015 receiving her First Communion with classmates. Traditionally First Communions are held at the palace with no one else receiving the sacrament.

For her big day, Sofía wore her school uniform, which consists of a navy blazer, grey skirt, striped tie, knee-high socks and loafers. Meanwhile Leonor looked stylish wearing a pleated pale blue dress paired with matching ballet flats. The royal siblings twinned sporting half-braided rope hairstyles for the ceremony. Letizia also dressed up for her daughter’s communion stunning in a mint green lace embroidered coatdress by her go-to designer Felipe Varela. The mom-of-two completed her look sweeping her tresses up into an elegant updo.
