Infant swings recalled due to suffocation hazard

(WHTM) — Thousands of infant swings have been recalled due to a suffocation hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall affects about 63,100 Jool Baby Nova Baby Infant Swings manufactured from June 2022 through September 2023.

According to the commission, the swings were recalled because they have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, which violates the CPSC’s Infant Sleep Products Regulation and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.

The commission is telling consumers to immediately stop using the recalled swings for infant sleep and contact Jool Baby for a free repair kit. Consumers can participate in the recall by going to www.JoolBaby.com/recall and following the instructions.

The recalled swings are gray and measure about 28 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 24 inches high.

The products have a round aluminum base with music buttons, a metal seat frame, a cloth seat with restraints and a headrest, and a canopy with hanging toys, including a yellow moon, blue cloud, and pink star.

“Jool Baby” is printed on the swing’s base and “NOVA” is located on the seat label.
