Infant injured in crash on Friday evening

Apr. 6—ZUMBROTA — A infant was injured in a vehicle crash on the interchange of U.S. Highway 52 and Minnesota Highway 60 on Friday evening, April 5, 2024.

A 2017 Ford Transit Van was traveling north on Highway 52 and exited toward Highway 60, while a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling west on Highway 60. The vehicles collided in the intersection.

The driver of the Ford Transit Van, Nicolle Carol Peltier, 31, of Faribault, did not sustain any injuries during the crash, but the infant present in the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries. They were transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.

The Chevrolet driver, 20-year-old Kaylyn Rae Westerberg, of Goodhue, did not sustain any injuries.

The Zumbrota Police Department and Ambulance and Goodhue County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
