Indian Land HS teacher solicited prostitution: Sheriff

INDIAN LAND, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An Indian Land High School teacher has been charged with soliciting prostitution in Lancaster County following an investigation, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday.

An investigation was launched regarding the prostitution of an adult woman involving Bruce Reginald Cash, 54. Detectives stated that the suspect solicited a sex act from the woman in exchange for money. Following the investigation Cash was arrested last Friday, April 26th, and now faces charges that include Prostitution 1st Offense.

Cash was released on a $460 secured bond the day after the arrest.

The Lancaster County School District confirmed with Queen City News that Cash is a teacher at Indian Land High School and has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the investigation. He is listed on the district’s website as a teacher of exceptional education.

“Due to an ongoing investigation, we cannot comment further as this is a personnel matter,” district officials said.
