This Incredibly Raw C-Section Video Will Either Make You Faint or Cry
Over the last few years, more and more hospitals have begun offering expectant mothers the option of a "gentle C-section." Unlike the typical surgery, a gentle C-section aims to feel less, well, surgical. While options vary, mothers who opt for the procedure are typically propped up slightly so they can watch their babies come out, and the babies are placed on their chests afterward just as they would be in a vaginal delivery. It's an awesome concept - and videos of the procedure are pretty awe-inspiring.
Dr. Jham Frank Lugo, the founder of a fertility clinic in Maracay, Venezuela, regularly posts photos and videos of his patients on Instagram, and a recent clip of a gentle C-section he performed is particularly mind-blowing. WARNING: The squeamish among us might have a hard time with this one.
So many questions: Why doesn't the incision ooze blood? How is the baby so clean? How can a woman grow such beautiful, delicate facial features (those perfect little lips!) inside her abdomen?
