‘Incorporated’: Will Ben Successfully Erase Aaron From His Memory?

To get away from Roger’s (Douglas Nyback) murder, Ben (Sean Teale) asked Hendrick (Damon Herriman) at the end of this week’s episode 7 of “Incorporated” to help him erase his memory of his past self, Aaron, using Everclear. But can the two ex-Red Zone residents execute their plan before Spiga uses the mind-reading device on Ben?

The preview clip for next week’s episode shows Julian (Dennis Haysbert) interrogating Ben about Roger’s death using Everclear. It remains to be seen, however, whether this happens after Ben’s memory of Aaron has already been wiped out.

At the end of this week’s episode, Ben found out that Spiga had locked him out of Everclear after the firm discovered Roger’s body. So in order to remove his past self from his memory, Ben started to build another unit of Everclear. It’s unclear, however, whether that unit will be ready for use before Spiga conduct its investigation on Roger’s death.

At a Television Critics Association party last week hosted by CBS Television Studios, which produces “Incorporated,” series star Julia Ormond revealed that Ben actually gets the promotion at the 40th floor, so it’s very much likely that Ben is going to be successful in removing Aaron from his memory.

Meanwhile, while Ben arguably deserves the promotion, it seems that Elizabeth (Ormond) uses her position at Spiga to get the promotion for her son-in-law. “I feel like she wants him promoted,” Ormond said of her character (via Rotten Tomatoes). “I feel like she’s enough of a sycophant for status to want her son-in-law to be moved up. I think she wants her daughter [Laura] to have the advantages that are offered, shallow as they are, by the corporate world and top of the ladder.”

Also in the upcoming episode, according to its synopsis, Laura (Allison Miller) bypasses company policy to save a cardiac patient.

“Incorporated” Season 1, episode 8, titled “Operational Realignment,” airs on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. EST on Syfy.
