‘Inappropriate’: Folks had opinions about what Lauren Sanchez wore to the White House

Lady in red!

Lauren Sanchez made her presence known Wednesday night at a fancy event at the White House in Washington, D.C.

The “Fly Who Flew to Space” author and her fiancé Jeff Bezos were guests at Joe and Jill Biden’s state dinner honoring Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Other high-profile attendees included actor Robert De Niro, Apple CEO Tim Cook, the Clintons and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

While most women were dressed to the nines in staid, conservative gowns, the former TV journalist rocked a body hugging, corset-style number.

On Instagram, Sanchez struck a few poses in a garden, showing off a new bob hairstyle and a lot of flesh.

Some positive comments came flooding in, as did 17,000 plus likes from celebs like Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton and Salma Hayek.

But it’s the Internet, after all, and not everyone was impressed.

“Gorgeous. But for a White House dinner? Not so much.”

“How could you possibly show us any more than you already have??”

“Let’s be honest. She looks like a porn star.”

“Love the new hair and dress ... but does seem a little inappropriate.”

Someone even suggested that as Sanchez becomes more prominent on the world stage, she should hire an etiquette coach.

“It is important to learn that PROPER DECORUM will build goodwill and respect.”

Sanchez paid no mind to her haters, and definitely has the figure to pull it off.

The question remains: Did she break protocol? According to etiquette queen Emily Post, black tie for women means “a formal, floor length evening gown,” cocktail or little black dress. But who knows these days?

The sexy silk and satin frock by Rasario actually looks like something that would work for a night out in Miami. Interested shoppers can buy on the designer’s website for $2,300. It also comes in black, by the way.
