Illinois has new plan for public health emergencies

The Illinois Department of Public Health unveiled its new plan for dealing with public health emergencies.

In the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was confusion about the virus and how society could move forward while mitigating the risk. Illinois’ Public Health director the new plan will put the state in a much better place than in 2020. Part of the plan involves revamping how the state trains its public health workforce.
