Illinois Marathon reveals medals for 2024 race weekend

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon is next month, and athletes can now see the hardware they’ll get after crossing the finish line.

Officials revealed the medal design on social media Wednesday. They said the medal design echoes the annual theme “REUNITED”.

Lengthy I-57 bridge projects start Friday in Champaign Co.

“We’ve set a high bar when it comes to our annual finisher medal design,” a Facebook video revealing the medals reads. “Creating that ‘wow’ moment is key.”

The Illinois Marathon is set for April 25-27. Runners can register for the race weekend on the Illinois Marathon’s website.

The Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend started in 2009, and is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.
