Illinois leaders hold redevelopment launch presser for Thompson Center

CHICAGO—Illinois and City of Chicago leaders held a press conference on Monday afternoon to discuss the James R. Thompson Center redevelopment.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson attended the event and addressed the media afterward for questions.

The James R. Thompson Center, located at 100 W. Randolph Street, opened in May 1985 and was renamed in 1993 to honor former Illinois Gov. James R. Thompson.
