Illegal drugs seized after suspicious activity reported at Menominee Casino Resort

KESHENA, Wis. (WFRV) – Several illegal drugs and controlled substances were seized on Friday, March 1, at the Menominee Casino Resort after a report of suspicious activity.

According to the Menominee Tribal Police Department, officers responded to the casino for a report of suspicious activity potentially involving illegal drugs.

Upon arrival, officers and the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office located the involved parties and took them into custody.

Authorities located their vehicles in the parking lot, and a K9 Unit was called to investigate. K9 Rosco displayed a positive alert on the cars, and several items were located.

Law enforcement seized over 60 pills identified as controlled substances, including Gabapentin and Amphetamine, as well as over 40 different individual packages of illegal drugs, including heroin and fentanyl.

The involved parties were arrested under local and felony warrants, and additional new charges were discovered during the investigation. No additional details were provided.
