IHS buys Fekete Associates for undisclosed amount
Business information and analytics firm IHS purchases Fekete Associates for undisclosed sum
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Business information and analytics firm IHS Inc. has purchased Fekete Associates, which provides software and services to the oil and gas sector, to bolster its customer support.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
"The products and services offered by Fekete build on existing IHS Energy solutions and provide new opportunity to expand Fekete offerings to a high-growth global energy marketplace," IHS Chairman and CEO Jerre Stead said in a statement on Monday.
Fekete has its headquarters in Canada and an office in Houston.
IHS is based in Englewood, Colo. Last month, the company reported that its first-quarter net income rose 5 percent to $24.7 million. The gain reflected a big jump in business in the Asia-Pacific region and solid growth in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Shares of IHS closed Friday at $98.50, up nearly 3 percent since the start of the year.
