'American Idol' contestant makes history during first live show

The first American Idol live show took place Sunday night, with one contestant making Idol history. Jurnee is the first contestant to ever rap on a live show, and she totally slayed while performing Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's "Bang Bang." According to an inside source, former Idol judge Nicki Minaj, personally gave Jurnee permission to change a part in her verse, allowing Jurnee to rap "It's Jurnee full throttle" instead of "It's Nicki full throttle." And while she proved she has the swag to spit Minaj's bars, she also showed off her killer vocals and dance moves. All three judges were blown away by Jurnee's performance. Luke Bryan thanked her for showing another element and side to her, while Lionel Richie praised her star power, saying, "That's what I'm talking about. You're bringing it. When you can affect the crowd like that, when you can affect us like that, and hopefully America like that, you've got show business in you. Love it." And Katy Perry was most impressed by Jurnee's moves, as she told the contestant, "Honestly I've never seen you move. We know you can sing, but like I've never seen you move, I've never seen you be so comfortable and step into the position of being an artist. I think you're an artist now, not just, like, you know, some wedding singer."
