Idiot Videos Himself Stealing Porsche, Before He Crashes It

Some people defy belief. One example of such human is Jamie Lee Sharp, 25, who broke into a house with his pal James Honeywell, 26, and stole the keys to a Porsche Boxster. Sharp then decided to film himself with the car using his cell phone—prior to crashing it, that is, where he became trapped, then arrested, and has since been gifted four years behind bars.

This all happened in Gloucester, England. Local police posted the videos to YouTube, hoping to prevent similar criminal activity—or at least persuade other idiot thieves that it’s not advisable to film oneself in the act. What didn’t make the tapes, which were split into three short videos, are the other items included in the theft, such as the owner’s wallet and a television.

Honeywell escaped briefly on foot after the wreck but has since landed himself almost three years in prison. Sharp pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, and, of course, driving while under the influence.

While it wasn’t an official crime, Sharp should also be held accountable for the world’s lousiest car review.
