The Ice Cream Shack in Hinton opens for the season

HINTON, WV (WVNS) — The Ice Cream Shack in Hinton reopened for its second season on Thursday, February 29th.

The local frozen treat business had great success in its inaugural year, and they hope to build on it for this new season.

“We’ll be offering eight more flavors of ice cream, we’ll be up to 28 flavors. And we’re gonna do hot dogs and barbeques come the first of April,” said owner Ronald Huffman. “Of course we’ll still do the milkshakes and the banana splits and your sundaes and the coffees, hot coffees and ice coffees.”

Veteran owned business begins to boom in Raleigh County

The Ice Cream Shack’s winter hours will be Monday through Thursday from 9 to 5, Friday and Saturday from 9 to 6, and Sundays from 10 until 4.

The Ice Cream Shack is located at 250 Greenbrier Drive in Hinton.
