The city of Orange Beach issued a curfew of 8 pm to 6 am for Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, urging voluntary evacuations during daylight hours. Gov Kay Ivey had declared a state of emergency on September 14, ordering all Alabama beaches shut down.

The National Weather Service reported Hurricane Sally would move slowly toward the Gulf Coast, resulting in “prolonged impacts from damaging winds, storm surge, flooding rains, and isolated tornados.” Credit: @kastewill via Storyful
