Hurricane Michael's eyewall comes ashore in Florida Panhandle

(Reuters) - Hurricane Michael's eyewall, or the ring around its core, was coming ashore early on Wednesday afternoon in the Florida Panhandle, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

It said the eyewall was coming ashore between St. Vincent Island and Panama City, Florida, with life-threatening storm surges and "catastrophic winds" moving onshore.
