Hurricane Michael Overturns Vehicles and Damages Buildings at Air Force Base

Trees, roof tiles and upturned vehicles littered the grounds of Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, on October 14, after Hurricane Michael ravaged the area the previous week.

A number of aircraft, including F-22 Raptors and QF-16 aerial target aircraft, were likely damaged on the base during the storm, according to the Air Force Times.

Florida Sen Bill Nelson, who toured the base on October 14, said that it was “destroyed,” but that speculation the base would be closed down was unfounded.
