Hurricane Ian: These restaurants are closed Wednesday for the storm in Palm Beach County

As reports of Hurricane Ian’s force intensified, a wave of local restaurants announced temporary closures, at least for Wednesday.

Benny’s on the Beach, Lake Worth Beach

Lake Worth Beach’s popular oceanfront restaurant packed up its outdoor seating and is closed due to weather Wednesday.

Cactus Grille and Tequila Bar, Gardens

The months-old Palm Beach Gardens restaurant posted this to Instagram: “For the safety of our staff and patrons, we have decided to close for Wednesday, September 28. Stay safe & dry!”

Duffy’s Sports Grill, all locations

All of this sports bar chain’s Palm Beach County locations are closed due to the storm Wednesday. “Once the storm passes, our goal is to reopen as quickly as possible,” read a Duffy’s statement posted on the company’s social sites.

Little Moir’s restaurants, Jupiter

The Jupiter-based Little Moir’s restaurants, which include Food Shack, Leftovers Café and Hibiscus StrEATery, are closed Wednesday. “We are sending our thoughts and prayers to our friends on the west coast… stay safe everyone!” read a message posted by the Little Moir’s group on its social media platforms.

Ela Curry Kitchen, Gardens

Chef Pushkar Marathe’s new Indian restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens will be closed Wednesday “due to inclement weather.” It reopens Thursday. “Stay safe and hope to see you tomorrow when we will be open for dine-in, take-out and delivery,” said a message on the restaurant’s Instagram page.

Stage Kitchen, Gardens

Marathe’s Indian-inspired restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens is closed Wednesday but reopens Thursday for regular service.

Flavors Island, West Palm Beach

The West Palm Beach Haitian restaurant is closed Wednesday and reopens at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Cucina Cabana, North Palm Beach

The North Palm Beach restaurant and entertainment lounge is closed Wednesday due to the storm. According to its social media, Cucina Cabana will be open Thursday for its “Girls Night Out” night featuring singer Ray Chang and half-price drinks.

Topside at the Beacon, Jupiter

This rooftop bar on Jupiter’s Love Street will be closed Wednesday “out of an abundance of caution,” according to its social media sites. “This is for wind-related purposes, since it’s a rooftop bar,” says a restaurant rep.

Brule Bistro, Delray Beach

Chef Suzanne Perrotto’s popular Delray Beach bistro will be closed Wednesday. “We hope to reopen Thursday and will share any additional closure info via social media,” said a message on the bistro’s social pages.

Rose's Daughter, Delray Beach

Perrotto’s Italian-American trattoria, also in Delray Beach, is closed Wednesday as well and posted the same message to its social media platforms.

Taco Chula, Gardens

The family-owned, Palm Beach Gardens taquería announced via social media it would be closed Wednesday. “Check back for any updates. Please be safe out there.”
