Huntsville Hospital Foundation fundraiser to feature Steve Miller Band

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The 35th Annual Huntsville Classic, benefiting the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, will be hosted at the Orion Amphitheater on May 18, and will feature the legendary Steve Miller Band.

The “‘Abracadabra” and “The Joker” singers are well-known for their distinct catalog, which dominated radio waves in the 70s. Their “Greatest Hits 1974-78” compilation album is among the top 25 best-selling albums ever.

This year’s event benefits pediatric patients at Huntsville Hospital Women and Children’s. The proceeds will be used to purchase equipment on-board a new pediatric critical care transport ambulance, renovate the pediatric ICU and improve lives through the Canines for Coping and Caring House programs.

“This investment will truly help us serve the whole pediatric patient by meeting their physical and emotional needs,” said Huntsville Hospital Foundation President Sarah Savage-Jones. “By purchasing a concert ticket, you are helping ensure our local, public hospital can continue providing world-class care to kids from across North Alabama, from NICU infants to teenagers.”

Tickets range from $39 to $150 and can be bought at the Orion Amphitheater’s website.
