Hundreds Turn Out For First-Ever Gay Pride in Mike Pence's Hometown of Columbus

Hundreds of people turned out in Columbus, Indiana, on April 14 for the town’s first-ever official LGBT+ pride event.

Columbus is the hometown of Vice President Mike Pence, who has expressed anti-LGBT+ views and many in the community do not see him as an ally.

The event included booths and live performances, including a lip-sync from drag performer Oriana Perón. Credit: Kristin Thompson via Storyful
