More than 400,000 people have signed up to join an event to storm the world-famous Area 51 in search of aliens.

The Facebook event, titled ‘Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us’, invites people to gather on September 20 from 3am to 6am Pacific Time to “see them aliens”.

It says: “ We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens”

Naruto run means running like Japanese anime character Naruto, with your arms behind your back and head forward.

Despite it clearly being a joke, by Friday 411,000 people had marked themselves as going to the event.
