Are Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris giving their once-ill-fated nuptial plans another shot?
The on-again couple, who called off their June 2011 wedding just five days prior to the scheduled ceremony, are once again planning to tie the knot, according to TMZ.
The men's mag mogul, 86, and his 26-year-old ladylove are set to walk down the aisle at the Playboy mansion on New Year's Eve, and the ceremony will be small, with only close friends and family on hand, the website reported.
According to sources for the website, Crystal feels the time she spent on her own last year following her breakup with Hef "taught her how to be independent and stand on her own two feet," and she now feels prepared to enter a marriage.
Neither Hef nor Crystal have directly addressed the reported wedding plans, but Crystal took to Twitter on Friday writing, "Dear past, thank you for all the lessons. Dear future, I'm ready."
Hef immediately re-Tweeted the post.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the Playboy pair rekindled their romance in June (one year after calling off their wedding), and Crystal moved back into the mansion.
Hef explained the reunion to his 1.2 million Twitter followers at the time, writing, "Getting back together with Crystal Harris shouldn't be a big surprise, since I have a history of remaining close to former girlfriends.
"It's Mary O'Conner that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable & said so," he added, referencing Mary, his longtime assistant/secretary. "Mary told Crystal to write & tell me, which she did."
