The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies and calmer winds for the rest of the week in the Baltimore area.

After heavy winds over the past three days, Tuesday is expected to have sunny skies, a high around 70 degrees and wind gusts as high as 24 mph. In the evening, temperatures will drop to a low around 42.

Sunny skies and warm temperatures will continue into Wednesday. The NWS forecast Wednesday to have a high around 73 with sunny skies and calm winds, and at night, temperatures will fall to around 46.

Thursday is expected to see a high around 76, but at night, there will be a 20% chance of rain as the temperature gets to a low of 54.

Friday is forecast to reach a high near 76, and between 2 and 8 p.m., there's a 60% chance of showers. The evening low is predicted to be near 51.

The weekend will have temperatures in the 60s and a slight chance of rain Sunday.
