"The Hows of Us" receives Camera Obscura award
12 Feb – KathNiel-starrer, "The Hows of Us" has been selected as one of the recipients of the Camera Obscura Artistic Excellence Award by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
As reported on Push, the news was shared by Chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines Liza Diño, who wrote, "Star Cinema's romantic drama film The Hows of Us starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina will receive the Camera Obscura for making history in Philippine cinema by breaking the P800 million global box office record, making it the highest-grossing Filipino film to date and proving the competitive advantage of local films in the country."
Aside from the movie, FDCP is also recognising National Artist Kidlat Tahimik and producer Bianca Balbuena at the same time.
"The Hows of Us", directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, broke multiple records in the Philippines, including making more than P1 billion at the box office worldwide as of February. It stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla as a young couple dealing with the struggles of a long-term relationship.
