Shock jock Howard Stern ripped unvaccinated people and opponents of getting the COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday, saying they are threatening his "freedom to live."
People against receiving the vaccine posit that getting the shot is a matter of personal freedom.
"F*** them. F*** their freedom. I want my freedom to live," the 67-year-old Stern said on his program. "I want to get out of the house. I want to go next door and play chess. I want to go take some pictures. This is bull****."
Public health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintain getting the vaccine is a good way to protect individuals and the general population from the virus.
Stern has no time for the former and their self-proclaimed personal freedom, he said.
"When are we going to stop putting up with the idiots in this country and just say it's mandatory to get vaccinated?" Stern asked. "As I remember, when I went to school, you had to get a measles vaccine. You had to get a mumps vaccine."
Stern said the unvaccinated are "clogging" up hospitals.
"So, like, if you have a heart attack or any kind of problem, you can't even get into the E.R.," he said. "And I'm really of a mind to say, 'Look, if you didn't get vaccinated [and] you got COVID, you don't get into a hospital.'"
"Go f*** yourself," Stern concluded. "You had the cure, and you wouldn't take it."
