Dec. 9—LOS ANGELES — A renowned author and Laurel County native is among several eastern Kentuckians that are in the running for a Grammy.

Nominations were announced on Friday, November 10, and included Silas House for his role in helping to produce the video for Tyler Childers' "In Your Love."

In a social media post, House said he never thought he'd be a Grammy finalist.

"This project was special from the beginning and we all knew it as we were working on it," House wrote. "Thank you thank you thank you to Jason Kyle Howard for everything, especially his idea that it should be coal miners, to Bryan Schlam's calm, intelligent direction, to the beautiful performances of our leads, James Scully and Colton Haynes, to the loving guidance provided by Justin Medley and Nicholas Robespierre, to the way Ian Thornton kept it all going, to the hard work and dedication of every single crew and cast member who gave so much and never got upset with me for so many set changes. And of course to Tyler Childers, chosen family, for trusting me to be part of this. Big love to all."

In addition to Best Music Video, the song also earned nominations for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.

The 2024 GRAMMYs will take place Sunday, Feb. 4, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
