House Intel Chair Blames Iran for Attack on Israeli Tourists

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee blamed Iran for being behind a recent attack on Israeli tourists in Bulgaria that left five dead, reports The Hill.

Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., in an interview, said, “I believe there were certainly elements of Hezbollah [involved] and I believe it was under the direction of their masters in Iran.”

Rogers added, “I think the president needs to call Iran on the carpet very publicly and tell them what we know. This is his time to stand up and do something bold.”

Israel has already blamed Iran for being behind last Wednesday’s attack, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged: “Israel will react powerfully against Iranian terror.”
