Our House debuts expanded facilities in Little Rock, announces next phase

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – On Thursday, Our House, a non-profit in Little Rock that helps those who are homeless and their families, celebrated the completion of its $16 million expansion.

Officials also announced the next expansion phase at the event as well. The expansion will allow Our House to double the number of families they can house, and the number of children they can serve in its early childhood center and out-of-school time program.

The Our House, Home to New Beginnings expansion will also provide more space for case management and workforce training programs. Leaders like Ben Goodwin said regarding its next expansion phase, they are planning to build 11 more units for housing for families in the program.

“They (donors and community members) bought into this vision and the need to serve more people and in the vision we can serve them in a way that changes their lives for the better,” Goodwin said.

Our House expansion in Little Rock expected to be completed in April

Goodwin said the new family house will house 14 more families and they’re already moving families in. The Windgate Family Support Center will double the capacity to provide support services.

He also said that this next phase will continue to help further families and they’re thankful for the support.
