House complete loss after fire in South Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – According to Huntsville Fire and Rescue (HFR), a family home is a total loss after an early morning fire Monday.

HFR Assistant Fire Marshal Jerry Tanner told News 19 that four trucks responded to the house on Branscomb Road.

No one was on the property at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries.

However, an investigator on the scene said that 12 puppies and a mother dog were in the home and were killed.

The home, however, is considered a complete loss.
