A group of Chinese investors are looking to turn an empty lot at 2010 S. Archer Ave. near Chinatown into a five story hotel. Located along the Red Line line tracks, the new hotel would be only paces away from the neighborhood's Cermak-Chinatown station. According to the zoning application, the hotel will include 60 guest rooms and have no parking. The investment group scooped up the property in July 2013, but with the support of Alderman Danny Solis, the group is hoping to begin work on the new hotel very soon.
