Hot Springs hosts first ever sumo wrestling exhibition in the Natural State

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The battle was on in Hot Springs Sunday in the Natural State’s first ever sumo wrestling exhibition.

Sumo! Sumo! Sumo! was held at the Bank Ozk Arena where folks got to see 6’4 570-pound Hiroki Sumi who organizers said is the heaviest sumo in the word.

Hiroki has been featured in movies like John Wick 4 and also the WWE.

Hiroki went belly to belly with Ramy, who weighs 500 pounds and stands 6 feet 4 inches tall. Ramy is a 10-time National Sumo Champion and former United States Sumo Open champion.

The sumo exhibition coincided with the 4th Annual American Craft Sake Festival and the 7th Annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival, which is a celebration of Japanese culture.
