Horse dies after school bus crash southeast of Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A horse was pronounced dead after a crash involving a school bus southeast of Topeka on Wednesday.

At 8:53 a.m., Shawnee County dispatchers were notified of a crash in the 2700 block of Southeast Downing Road.

The crash involved a school bus from Shawnee Heights USD 450, no children were on board and no people were injured in the crash. The scene was cleared by 9:55 a.m., according to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office.
