Crash involving Horry County school bus sends 3 to hospital

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Three people were hospitalized with minor injuries Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash along Highway 707 involving a school bus, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

Horry County Schools spokeswoman Lisa Bourcier told News13 the bus carrying 29 St. James Intermediate students was rear-ended, but it wasn’t known whether any of the children were hurt.

Crews were dispatched to the area of Hyatt Lane around 6:20 a.m. The state Department of Public Safety and Horry County Police Department are assisting in the investigation.

No further information was immediately available, but officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.
