Horror author Stephen King retaliates after Donald Trump blocks him on Twitter
For renowned horror writer Stephen King reality seems to have become more unsettling than any ghoulish plot he could conjure.
The author has been horrified by the spectre of Donald Trump running for and then winning the US presidency, and he has not been shy about broadcasting his disdain.
From early in the real estate mogul’s candidacy, Mr King has been firing off broadsides against Trump on the President’s favoured mode of communication, Twitter.
Here’s a flavour:
My newest horror story: Once upon a time there was a man named Donald Trump, and he ran for president. Some people wanted him to win.

As the late Johnnie Cochran might have said about Donald Trump: "If he's a rectum, you must not elect 'im."

If only Donald Trump was 5% as good at governing as he is at firing people of conscience. His presidency is a joke. Sadly, we're the butt.

In decreeing transgender people unfit to serve, Donald Trump continues to visit previously unxplored regions of the suck.

In June this year the 69-year-old writer’s continued barbs appeared to become too much for President Trump and he blocked Mr King.
Blocked by Donald Trump, but still I persist.

Then yesterday Mr King tweeted he was taking a measure of revenge on Trump by blocking him from watching the series Mr. Mercedes or the upcoming film IT, both of which are adapted from his books.
Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing IT or MR. MERCEDES. No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself.

How the author plans to enforces this embargo is something of a mystery, so it’s safe to assume the measure is a token one. However Mr King’s revenge found favour on the social media network racking up over 100,000 likes.
