Hormel Foods Sales recalls 2 PLANTERS® products due to possible listeria concerns

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Hormel Foods Sales has announced a recall on a limited number of two PLANTERS® products due to possible listeria concerns.

According to Hormel, the recall includes the 4 ounce packages of PLANTERS® Honey Roasted Peanuts with a best-buy date of April 11, 2025 and the 8.75 ounce cans of PLANTERS® Deluxe Lightly Salted Mixed Nuts with a best-buy date of April 5, 2026.

The products were shipped to Publix warehouses in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina and Dollar Tree warehouses in South Carolina and Georgia.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), listeria can be fatal, and is most likely to affect pregnant women and their newborns, adults aged 65 or older and people with weakened immune systems.

There have been no reports of illness related to the recall.

Customers are urged to discard the product or return to the store of purchase for an exchange.
