Horizon man dies in motorcycle, semi crash on I-10 East at Copia
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 26-year-old Horizon man is dead after a motorcycle crash Tuesday night, April 16 on I-10 East at Copia, according to El Paso Police.

Police say at around 11:30 p.m., a 50-year-old man was driving a semi-truck pulling a 53-foot trailer on I-10 East near Copia and began to slow down due to a crash up ahead.
Police say as the semi slowed down, Henry John Wiedmeyer, 26, was also traveling on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed.
Police say Wiedmeyer was unable to slow down, striking the rear of the semi-trailer and died at the scene.
The Special Traffic Investigations unit was requested at the scene.
Police say this is the 16th traffic fatality compared to 18 at this same time last year.
