Homicide detectives investigate shooting in Miami Gardens that left one dead

Miami Gardens police are investigating a shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead on Valentine’s Day.

Officers arrived at the 3900 block of Northwest 213th Street at 4:43 p.m. Friday and found a black man with gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the victim, identified in a police news release as Alexander Vincent Harmon, to a local hospital, where he later died.

Detectives are now searching for the shooter or shooters, who fled the scene in the direction of Vista Verde Park. They have not been identified.
