Homeless man arrested in assault on 72-year-old woman in Brooklyn: NYPD
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Investigators arrested a homeless man accused of assaulting a 72-year-old woman in Brooklyn on Thursday, authorities said.
The incident occurred on May 5 when the accused suspect, Mouhamed Diallo, allegedly punched the woman in the back of the head near 4th Avenue and 96th Street in Bay Ridge around 4:50 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The woman fell to the ground and suffered bleeding and swelling to her head, police said. First responders transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center.
Diallo, 29, was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree, authorities report.
